‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’: A Spectacular Epic with a Touch of Nostalgia

Spider-Man: No Way Home was released in theaters on December 17, 2021. It’s a follow-up sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019).

I’ve waited a little more than 2 months to watch this film. The anticipation was literally killing me because of all the amazing reviews and ratings it received. I had confidence that it was going to be good but boy, was I wrong. It was incredible.

Seeing Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire together was so special. They’re such a dynamic trio. The camaraderie was so entertaining. I was dying of laughter whenever they were all on screen. Although TikTok spoiled me on Andrew and Tobey’s returns, I still freaked out. It was kind of emotional to be honest with you. I know that may sound a bit dramatic but I adore Andrew’s portrayal of Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Tobey is the one who started it all.

The addition of all the villains was so freakin’ cool. It was weird seeing them all in 1 film. All of their entrances were iconic.

I loved Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Peter together. They were so funny. Wong should have been in the film more. I love him. I hope we see him in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

MJ (Zendaya) is one of my favorite MCU characters ever. She radiates so much comfort. I love how Zendaya portrays her. Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) is the friend we all want to have.

The cinematography and special effects were so sick. I’m so happy the film got nominated for Best Visual Effects at the Oscars (even if it didn’t win).

The ending was the only thing I didn’t love but I understand why it needed to happen.

This is why the Spider-Man films are my absolute favorite from the MCU. They never miss.
