1. Listen to Music

Listening to music can help you escape when things get hectic. Music helps me escape when I’m feeling stressed. It helps me focus. Make sure you listen to upbeat music rather than sad ballads because this will instantly boost your mood.

Writing is another way to escape. It’s immersive and allows you to dive into a different world. Your creativity and imagination are endless. Express yourself through words. Whether it’s a poem, short story, or even a book, just start writing.
3. Read a Book

Similar to writing, reading a book is a way to escape. Diving into a world that isn’t our own. Immersing ourselves in worlds we could picture ourselves in. Those mental images that appear in our minds are priceless.
4. Create Something

Draw, paint, or whatever your little creative mind desires. Art is an outlet for self-expression. Create something visual that portrays your emotions or create something silly. Art has no limits.
5. Take Photos

6. Start Journaling

7. Watch a Film

8. Watch a TV Show

Watch an episode of your favorite TV show or start a new one. I love television and it’s a great escape from stress.

Exercise is a great way to relieve stress. It’s also a great way to boost your mood and energy. Exercising is proven to bump up the production of your brain’s feel-good neurotransmitters called endorphins.
10. Cook or Bake Something

Cook or bake something. Both are very therapeutic. It’s creating art out of food. A little cooking or baking to soothe the soul doesn’t hurt anybody.
